Common Lizards at RSPB Burton Mere

On Sunday I went to RSPB Burton Mere on the Wirral. It was a really warm day, which was really good for spotting these Common Lizards.

We saw four of the sitting on the bottom rail of the fence sunbathing.

I really wanted a picture of one of the Lizards underneath the Lizard sign, but they didn't scrabble across the fence as far as the sign.

I really like the last picture because the head is in focus and the rest of the body sort of fades away. I hope you enjoy the pictures and would like to know what you think of them.

  1. Hi Harley, lovely photos of the lizards. I have not seen any in our garden this year only slow worms. I am certain one of our lizards was green but Grandpa said 'no way'.
    love Grandma.

  2. I think these are great Harley.
You've done something I've never been able to do, and that's get pictures of a lizard. Well done.
